Cookie Policy

This policy explains how GLANZ PREMIUM AUTO CARE L.L.C (“GLANZ”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website when you browse, sign in, book a wash, or buy a membership in the UAE.

It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly. By continuing to use the site you accept the strictly necessary cookies we need to run accounts and checkout. You can block or delete others in your browser.

Who sets them

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We also use browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for the same kinds of jobs: remembering a cart, a saved service location, or a theme. This policy covers those as well, because they sit on your device and can identify a browser session.

What we actually use

We do not run advertising networks or sell cookie data. What is on the live site today falls into three groups:

  • Sign-in and security. After you log in, our authentication service (Better Auth) sets a secure session cookie so we know it is you on /dashboard, at checkout, and on staff or admin tools. Without it the site cannot keep you signed in or complete a paid booking in your name. These cookies are typically HttpOnly and sent only to our servers.
  • Checkout and bookings. Your cart is kept in localStorage on this device so items survive a refresh. The location you pick for a mobile wash is stored under glanz_user_location so you are not asked to drop the pin again. If you skip that prompt we store a one-time flag so it does not loop. On the packages page we set glanz_package_offers for a few hours so the combo / deal countdown can run from the server clock without hitting the database on every view. None of these are used to advertise to you on other sites.
  • Preferences on this browser. Light or dark theme is saved in localStorage. Admin and staff refresh buttons use sessionStorage only to stop the same table being hammered more than five times in five minutes. That data never leaves the tab.

Payment and maps

When you pay, you are sent to the secure payment page of our payment provider, Tap Payments, which is outside this website. Tap may set its own cookies or similar files there to complete 3-D Secure and prevent fraud, under its own policy. We do not see or store full card numbers. If you use the map on the location step, Google Maps loads in your browser and Google may set cookies or receive your IP address under its own policy. Those tools only run on the pages that need them, not on every visit.

How long they last

Session cookies drop when you close the browser or sign out. The offers cookie expires after about six hours. Cart, location, and theme stay until you clear site data or we change the product. Payment-provider cookies follow that provider’s rules.

Your choices

You can delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings, or use private browsing. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out and stop checkout until you allow it again. Clearing localStorage empties the cart and the saved wash location. We do not currently show a separate cookie banner because we are not dropping optional advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on first visit. If we add analytics later, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask before those cookies run.

We handle this information in line with applicable UAE data-protection rules and our Privacy Policy. Using the site from Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE does not change the company responsible: GLANZ PREMIUM AUTO CARE L.L.C.
